Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes the practices of “Villa Vist`Atlântico” with respect to information collected from users who access our website at www.vistatlanticomadeira.pt or who otherwise share personal information with us, collectively referred to as: “Users “.

When you use the Site, you consent to the collection, storage, use, disclosure and other uses of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

What information do we collect?

We collect two types of information, described below:

The first type of information is de-identified and non-identifiable information relating to a User that may be made available or collected through the use of the Site (“Non-Personal Information”). We have no knowledge of the identity of a User from whom Non-Personal Information was collected. Non-Personal Information being collected may include your aggregate usage information and technical information transmitted by your device, including certain software and hardware information (e.g., the type of browser and operating system your device uses, language preference, weather access etc.) in order to improve the functionality of our Site. We may also collect information about your activity on the Site (e.g. pages viewed, online browsing, clicks, actions, etc.).

The second type of information is Personal Information, which is individually identifiable information, that is, information that identifies an individual or can, with reasonable effort, identify an individual. Such information includes: Device Information: We collect personal information from your device. Such information includes geolocation data, IP address, unique identifiers (e.g. MAC address and UUID) and other information that relates to your activity on the Site, strictly associated with the services we provide

What personal information do we collect from people who visit our website or app?

We collect personal information for example when you book a stay and purchase on our website: you will be asked to enter your name, email address, physical address, telephone number, the number of a valid identification card and information credit card or other details strictly necessary for the purpose for which they are intended, that is, to book your stay and comply with our legal obligations.

 

How do we receive your information?

We receive your Personal Information from several sources:

When you voluntarily provide us with your personal data when registering on our Site; when you use or access our Site as part of your use of our services; from external providers, services and public records (e.g. traffic analysis providers).

When do we collect information?

We collect personal information when you fill out a form or voluntarily enter your information on our website.

How do we use your information?

As of May 25, 2018, Portuguese legislation, more specifically the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) requires a set of changes regarding the processing of personal data by companies. We have been preparing ourselves for the application of these new obligations which, within the scope of our activity, have implications regarding the data of our customers (guests). We ensure compliance with the standards defined by the regulation and guarantee that the processing of personal data is intended solely and exclusively for the normal functioning of the activity:

Please also note that our service provision is online only and that the provision of local accommodation service implies the legal obligation of access to guest data, and when requesting our services, it is important that you are aware of this need and accept our policy of privacy.

We take great care in implementing and maintaining the security of the Site and your information. Our security practices. The last revision will be reflected in the “Last Modified” section. Your continued use of the Platform, following notice of such changes on our website, constitutes your confirmation and consent to such changes to the Privacy Policy and your agreement to be bound by the terms of such changes.
